HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2012
Earlier today I told someone that I was going to watch the ball drop in Time Square and then I was going to bed even though it would not be 2012 in Louisiana. I was sitting here at the computer this evening and realized that I could not watch the ball drop for I do not have TV. Then I realized that I could probably watch it on the Internet. Went to trusty Google to find a site and the first one I clicked on was the Official World Wide Webcast LIVE from Times Square. I clicked ‘full screen’ and it is almost the same as watching on TV. I can’t even remember how many years I have been watching that ball drop at midnight. I have the site muted for I don’t care to watch all the show for it is usually entertainment that really does not interest me.
Well the ball has dropped and it is now 2012 on the east coast. I set the alarm on my cell phone so that I would not let the time pass without going back to the site to watch. Think I will have a snack, read a chapter in my book, and then go to bed.
