The Boy Who Changed The World by Andy Andrews is one of the most delightful children’s books that I have ever read. The colorful illustrations by Philip Hurst are beautiful and add visual enjoyment to the book. Even though I am a senior citizen I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
The author tells in a few, well chosen words how the lives of Norman Borlaug, Henry Wallace, George Washington Carver and Moses Carver were interwoven and how what each one did affected the life of the other and in turn each helped change the world. One thing the author stresses in this book is that every choice one makes can make a difference and what everyone does in life does matter be it good or bad. The decisions that one makes have the ability to cause a ripple effect around the world, which can change the world. The author ends the book with these words “…YOU can be the kid who changes the world!”
