Great Beginning For The Week
Something happened in the worship service at church this morning that I have never witnessed before. A new friend of mine had the solo when the choir sang this morning and she was so good that she received a standing ovation. When I talked with her after church I told her that the only thing I could say about her solo was WOW! She has a voice that can raise the roof. She has been singing in the choir since she started attending right after Christmas. No one knew that she could sing like that. Unfortunately, she and her husband will be moving to South Carolina the end of August. Their baby is due in mid-September so I better get on the ball and get a quilt made for their expected baby boy so I can give it to them before they leave.
Tonight was commencement for Vacation Bible School. I thought about not going since I was so tired and sleepy but I wanted to see how all my photographs looked on the big screen this year for I did not crop and resize as I have done in previous years. I really would not have missed for I wanted to see all the kids perform, especially Bryce my little surrogate grandson. When I was making photos this past week I made sure to get a photo of Brody and Bryce without other kids in the picture. Going to send a copy to Mignon their grandmother.
