Potluck Supper

Tonight was potluck supper at church and it was great as usual.  However there was one big disappointment.  There was a beautiful blackberry cobbler so I took a helping for I love any berry pie.  My friend sitting next to me also had some and she mentioned that it was sour.  When I took a bite my mouth would not have puckered more if I had been sucking on a lemon.  I don’t know it the person making the pie just forgot the sugar or likes her cobbler that sour.  Needless to say I was very disappointed for it was just too tart for me to eat.  I thought about going in the kitchen and looking for sugar but decided I did not want to go to all that trouble.

After I finished my meal and everyone had gone through the line I prepared a plate for Brian.  He loves deviled eggs and tonight I was able to bring him three.  There were some more still on the table but I did not want to be greedy.

We are still studying in the book of James and tonight the message was on money and the love of money.  Very interesting and informative.  At the very end the pastor asked us all to think about what we would do if we woke up tomorrow morning and learned that someone had left us one million dollars.  Gives one food for thought.
