Maybe Brian Has A Good Idea
Tonight after dinner, Brian and I were sitting at the table talking and I was talking or should I say complaining about all the fabric I have and how I need to get busy making quilts. He asked me what I would do if there was a fire tonight and nothing burned except all my fabric. Of course the first thing out of my mouth was that I would probably say, “Thank you Lord.” His comment then was, “Well why don’t you throw it away or give it away?” Then he asked me if I made quilts because I wanted to or because I felt I should. Told him that I make them because I want to.
He then asked my age and when I told him seventy-one, he decided that I probably did not have another thirty years to make quilts so I should make a list of the quilts that I really want to make and decide how long it would take to make each one. Then when the time passes and a quilt is not made, simply mark it off the list and go on to the next one. I think he might have a good point there.
