Happy Monday
Last night I joined BookSneeze and today I got an email saying that I had been approved to do book reviews on my blog. I immediately ordered the book that I wanted to read and review. Now I wait a week or so for it to arrive in my mailbox.
This evening I tried and tried to put the BookSneeze widget on my blog but just could not figure out what to do. I called Scott and asked him for help and he told me exactly how to install a widget. After about an hour of pure frustration, I still could not put up a widget so I emailed Scott and asked him to write down word for word what I needed to do or if he wanted he could just put the widget on my blog. He chose to put the widget on my blog and then emailed me to say he had done it but did not give me any more directions. I went to the blog and tried again and was I surprised to learn that I could now put widgets on my blog like a pro. I think he did something to the site and just did not tell me. Whatever he did was fine with me and I emailed my thanks for helping his partially computer illiterate mom.
Now that I had widgets mastered I did a bunch of those silly quizzes on Blogthings and even put a few of them on my blog. Then the more I looked at the way they looked on the blog the less I liked them so I deleted every last one of them. Besides most of them are just plain silly and I think most are aimed at the twenty and under crowd. But at least now I can put on a widget if a neat one comes along.
Today when I went to the post office I was delighted to get a card from my friend Trisha who is a missionary in Honduras. It was such a sweet card that it made my day and almost brought tears to my eyes. She had included pictures of her when she first opened the quilt and also pictures of her daughter on the quilt. Anyone interested in seeing the entire quilt can click here.
I think it is safe to say that Trisha was surprised.
The smile says it all.
Madison looks as if she is wondering where Regina is putting her.
Madison the beautiful baby girl for whom the quilt was made.
