Movie Night
Had to return a stack of books and tapes to the library today so I decided since I was there that I would get some reading and studying done. As I was leaving a few minutes before six, I thought I smelled popcorn. I asked one of the librarians if I truly did smell popcorn and she said yes and that the movie was starting at six o’clock. I asked what movie and she said it was Julie and Julia. Well I had been trying to get the DVD at the library but it was always out so I decided to stay and watch the movie. The movie was all right but I was glad that I got to see it for free and did not pay several dollars to see it at the theater. I have been cooking for sixty-six years and have never been all that impressed with Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I was talking with Brian at dinner and told him I thought the recipes were rather convoluted and he agreed with me.
