Life Is A Quilt

“I liken my life’s journey to that of creating a patchwork quilt.  Carefully and lovingly, I choose the fabric of my being.  As I gather the pieces, I shall sort them and put each in its proper place.  None resembling that of another, yet common enough to become a whole.”

“Only with the finest threads, my feelings, will I be able to connect these pieces.  As my connection grows, I will enjoy my becoming.”

“When the last piece is in place, and the final stitch has been taken, my physical life will be no more.  And I shall be like a beautifully designed quilt.  Unseen by some, forgotten by many, remembered by others, and by a few, treasured forever.”
