Two Days Until Christmas
I am definitely getting rested up before Christmas. Got up about noon and have managed to do very little this afternoon. Well I did do a load of laundry, which is all put away. I made a quick trip to the grocery to get needed supplies for the two or three different kinds of cookies that Christy plans to make tomorrow. I baked another sheet of my fruit cookies this afternoon and really have been enjoying them.
Just got off the phone with Joyce and she left me almost speechless with her latest news. The middle of January, she and Don are being sent by Don’s employer to Johannesburg, South Africa, and will be there for two years. In September they returned to the US after being in Dubai for two months. I hope to be able to drive up to Kansas City in early January to visit before they take off for the other side of the world. Right now she thinks they will leave the middle of January.
Wish I had a job that would send me all over the world. Hey, I just wish I had a job. Well, I really do not want a job but if I did have a job then I would have more money to spend. I keep thinking about applying to the Jackson Parish Library. The way I love to read, working in a library would not really be work.
