Another Party
This afternoon we went to an open house that was from one until five and we did not leave until five thirty. Most everyone else did the same thing. We were all having a great time just sitting and talking. I talked for at least a couple of hours with one of the guys who just finished his four year stint with the Air Force and is still in the Reserves. I learned a lot about the war in Iraq and what is really going on over there. All I can say is that we have some idiot civilians who think they know more about how to “run” a war than the military who are trained for war. Spent time talking with another guy who is a breeder of fish. Learned that some people with pay twenty thousand dollars for ONE fish. Very interesting what one can learn if one only listens.
After we left the open house, Scott drove me all over downtown Fort Worth to see the Christmas lights. When we left downtown, Scott drove through several residential areas so that I could see the lights. We stopped at Schlotzsly’s for a sandwich. Now we are home and he is on the desktop computer and I am using his laptop. I think that I have just about decided that I never want a laptop. It is fine except for the keyboard, I cannot stay on the right keys. More than likely if I had a laptop, I would get used to the smaller keyboard.
