Christmas Is Coming
The first Sunday after Thanksgiving, our choir director chooses only Christmas songs for the congregation to sing each Sunday until Christmas. I for one really enjoy this for otherwise we would not get to sing them all. Of course I am nuts about Christmas music and start playing it on my birthday, which is two weeks before Thanksgiving. Brian came into my studio a week or so ago and said that it was stupid to be playing Christmas music this early. I did not even bother to comment. My studio and my music and he does not have to listen.
Tonight when I got home from church I checked my email and I had a book order for two books. And the nice thing is that these were too of my more expensive books. Would be a lot happier if I did not have to pay PayPal a fee. But at least it makes it quick and easy to get my money so I guess it is worth it.
Before I go to bed tonight I want to get all the little gifts wrapped for Bryce’s advent calendar. I stopped by Ashley’s on the way home from church to pick up the Santa advent calendar but she has to get up in the attic to get it. Maybe Buster will go up there and get it down tonight. I told her that I will bring all the gifts to her tomorrow and then she can put them in the pockets. If the Santa is still in the attic she will probably go up and get it after I get there tomorrow afternoon after school. She teaches and will not be home until a few minutes after four. One way or the other, the calendar will be ready for the morning of December first.
Today I was thinking about all the stuff I need to do before Christmas and it dawned on me that Brody is only nine months old and he really would not appreciate a quilt so I am not going to be making a Christmas quilt for him this year. He can just share Bryce’s. I hope to have the one made from shirts finished this week. I told Regina tonight that I would just go ahead and finish it the way I usually do so that when she gets it, it will be finished and she will not have to put on the binding. I think she was happy to hear that for she has a new granddaughter and she also goes all out for Christmas so has lots to do and probably no time to put on a binding.
