Tired Again Tonight

I did not get as much done today as I had hoped but I was still sore from all the moving and walking I did yesterday.   Sorting through fabric has the same problem as sorting through letters and other papers.  I can’t just pick up the fabric and move it from one container to another, I have to pull out certain pieces and look at them and try to remember why I bought it.  Or I sit and look at the fabric and think of ways that I could use it now.

In a year or so I hope that I will have used up all my fabrics making quilts for missions and I can get rid of all the containers.  Of course I am not making detailed pieced quilts or appliqué quilts.  Many of the quilts are whole cloth quilts and the rest are simple pieced ones such as four patch or one patch.  Ones that I can sew long strips together and then cut to have a row of squares all sewn together.  Thank goodness for rotary cutters.  I just did a quick calculation and if I make two quilts a day it will take me over three years to get all my fabric used up.  Well if the eyesight stays clear and the hands continue to work then maybe I will make it.
