Rain, Rain, And More Rain
When I woke up this morning there was a gentle rain falling. About noon it started raining so hard that it was hard to see through the downfall and it rained extremely hard until about six this evening. There were small lakes all over my yard. At least we had four days of sunshine before it started raining again.
Today I decided that I am going to make the small quilts for the church nursery before I do the one made from shirts. I need to talk with Regina before I do any more with the shirts and she is busy right now with a brand new granddaughter. While I am waiting to talk with her I can get the ones for the nursery finished. They are going to be very easy for not going to quilt the back since it is such heavy material. Donna and Nancy bought the fabric at a quilt store in Shreveport and the saleslady told them that is what the ladies over there are making baby quilts from. Personally I think it is way too heavy but it is what I have so will use it. Besides the quilts will probably hang on the end of the crib most of the time and when used they usually just cover the legs and feet of the babies. Another great thing is that I am only making them twenty-eight inches by thirty-six inches. Should be able to whip those out in very little time. Hope to get two made tomorrow.
