Expired Car Tag

Tonight I was sitting in church a few minutes early and a friend came up to me and asked if realized that my car tag was expired.  We both park in the handicapped spots so she had noticed it as she walked by my car.  It expired in JUNE!!!  Funny thing is that last week I was stopped by the Hodge police because I had a taillight that was almost out.  He mentioned my badly bent tag but said nothing about the date on the sticker.  The tag is bent because a guy in a big pickup with a trailer hitch backed into me when I was also backing out of Taco Bell some months back.

I started to cut squares today of the plaid and striped shirt fabrics and was planning to cut on the straight and then really work hard to keep all lines straight when I sewed them together.  It really bugs me when a checked or plaid fabric is not sewn exactly on the lines of the fabric. After about two cuts I realized that there was no way that I was going to spend hours and hours cutting squares on the straight and then sewing slowly for many more hours.  So, I am going to cut them on the bias and then I can just pick them up, pin together, and sew quickly.   The mother of the baby has said that she did not care how the quilt was made just so it was made of her dad’s shirts.
