Another Day Of Sunshine

Yesterday at church one of the ladies commented that of the last thirty-two days we had twenty-two days of rain.    No wonder we are all so glad to see the sunshine once again.

The shirt pieces are all ironed and ready to be cut into six inch squares.  I mentioned earlier that I was going to put a border and some blocks of ecru colored fabric with the shirt squares but have been thinking about that and do not like the idea.  With all the shirt fabrics being somewhat dark, the ecru would be the first thing one saw when looking at the quilt.  I am going to talk with my friend and if she does not object then I am going to make the borders of black fabric and will scatter solid blocks of red, blue, and black with the shirt squares.  Personally I think that will look much better and I definitely will be happier with the look.  And then I could just do it and tell her after the fact but I will get her opinion.  She is so glad that I am making the quilt that I am sure she will agree.

Need to get to bed somewhat early tonight for I need to be up at nine to get to Bible study on time.  Will be getting up at seven to prepare Brian’s lunch and will then go back to bed for nearly two more hours of sleep.  He says I can make his sandwich at night but I like to make it fresh in the morning.  I know that I spoil him rotten.  I only do this when Christy is not here to fix his lunch.
