Tomorrow Is The Day
It is only seven thirty but as soon as I post this I am off to bed. I have to be up at four to get my sandwiches made, the cooler filled with ice, the drinks packed, and then the rest of my food put into the cooler. Fortunately I only have about a mile to drive to the voting place, which is the Quitman Fire Station. I definitely will have enough food for three meals and several snacks. Of course I am planning to share with the other ladies and they share also. Even though it will be a fifteen-hour day, it will be somewhat of a fun day. Since it is just a local/state election, there probably will not be a lot of people so we will have lots of time to sit and talk and catch up on all the news.
When we are just sitting there waiting for voters to come, I am going to figure out the design for the two little quilts that I am making for the church nursery. Also going to figure out how many squares I need for the quilt for the missionary friend. When Monday morning rolls around I can start cutting out the squares. I got all the shirts cut into flat pieces and ready to iron. Might feel like doing that when I get home tomorrow night. And then I might just want to fall in bed.
This afternoon I had to go to Wal-mart in Ruston and when I started back toward the rear of the store I saw a rack with tee shirts that were clearance priced. I found Faded Glory tee shirts in the very size I wanted so I got four of them for the Christmas boxes and only had to pay one dollar for each shirt. I was so glad to find them for now I can put the money I was going to spend on tee shirts on solar calculators. I think the boxes are to be at church for pickup about the 15th of November so I don’t have too much longer to get all my stuff together. I really wish that I could afford to fill about twenty boxes but four are about all I can manage money wise.
