Surprise

This afternoon when I came out of the library there was a note on my windshield and it said, “flat tire, right rear.”  That was definitely not a good ending to my afternoon.  The first time I called Brian no one answered at the university, so I called his cell phone and it said he was not available.   I was sitting in my car trying to decide what to do when Brian called me.  I told him I had a flat and asked him to come change it for me.  He told me he would be right there.  He got there and changed it and then we had to find an air hose.  I think it is ridiculous that one has to pay seventy-five cents for a little air in a tire, but I needed the air so I had to pay.

I had left the library about five-thirty and was going to run by home to brush my teeth, powder my shiny nose, and put on some lipstick before driving to church.  By the time the tire was finished and I was on my way it was six minutes after six and prayer meeting starts at six-thirty.  I just drove straight to church and was only two or three minutes late.  They were just starting the second song as I got to my seat.  No one cared if my nose was shiny and I had on no lipstick.

Talked with Ashley after church and we will have to wait until next Tuesday to go out for supper since she has to stay home tomorrow evening waiting for her new freezer to be delivered and I have no idea how much time it will take me getting my tire repaired or a new one bought.

At least when I got home from church I found that the air conditioner guy had been by and repaired the leak.  It was not actually a leak but the drain was stopped up.  I mopped up water and then a few minutes ago it felt as if there was more water that had leaked out.  I called Joel and he said he cleared the pipe but there was a lot of water and there could still be some underneath that was leaking out.  He said if it kept leaking then we did have a problem for it would be the pan.  I am praying that the problem is solved.
