Lily’s Quilt
When I finally got in bed this morning I looked at the clock and it was fifteen minutes before five. I did not go to sleep before the alarm went off at seven. I get up at seven to fix a lunch for Brian since Christy is not here to do it. As soon as the lunch is packed, I go back to bed. When I went back to bed this morning I set the alarm for one in the afternoon for I only had an hour or so of work left to do on the quilt. It was a little after two when I finally stitched the front and back together, turned the quilt, and did the decorative stitching. I was finished in about an hour and a half. I probably would have been finished sooner but I forgot that I wanted to put in a new bobbin before I started the decorative stitching and of course about three-fourths of the way around the quilt the bobbin ran out. Had to fill a bobbin, rethread the machine, and then try to start the stitching in the exact spot that I stopped. I made it with only one stitch out of place. I doubt that anyone will ever see the extra stitch. I think I have finally gotten over my tendency to be a perfectionist for I have realized that it is a waste of time and energy and the cause of a great deal of frustration.
