Still Hot & Humid
Today was a beautiful Sunday in spite of the heat and humidity. During the month of August we are having a little different revival at church. Instead of having a revival for a week, we are having a different Evangelist every Sunday night in August. Tonight was the first one and he was a very good speaker.
Before I went to bed last night I had definitely decided what I want to do for the center panel on Mignon’s quilt. I am going to use a floral print that has several different flowers on black and in my opinion is one of the prettiest floral prints I have ever seen. Fortunately I have plenty so will have enough for the yard square panel. Certainly going to save me a lot of time. The appliqués that I had planned to use would probably take me two weeks to finish the appliqué. They are already fused to Wonder Under and have been cut out so they will be ready when I decide that I want to do a large floral appliqué. The flowers are from a fabric that I bought several years ago to make a black quilt with bright, appliquéd flowers. Maybe now I will one day get started on it since I have a bunch of appliqués ready to stitch.
I sat here at the computer this afternoon and made probably two hundreds puzzles. I LOVE to work jigsaw puzzles and working them on the computer is so much nicer than dealing with all the pieces spread out on a table. Computer puzzles have no pieces to get lost and take up no table space. Another thing that is really nice is that I can make the puzzles from four to over a thousand pieces. Unfortunately my monitor is not large enough to work a puzzle with a thousand pieces. If I want to do a quick one I usually stick with about one hundred pieces. The puzzle program that I have also lets me have different shaped pieces. I have definitely gotten my moneys worth out of the program.
