Scott Home In Fort Worth

Scott is finally back home in Fort Worth.  Going by the time on his post on Twitter, I don’t think they landed at DFW until about six, which was an hour later than he had mentioned last night when I talked with him.  When he posted to Twitter they were waiting on baggage and were very unhappy with the service on American Airlines.  I am just glad to know that he is home safe and sound.

After my doctor’s appointment I went to Taco Bell and had some lunch since I had not had anything to eat in over twelve hours.  Then I drove to Monroe to get the movie, The Killing Fields.  I have watched about half of it so far and like most war movies, I have a hard time keeping the good guys and the bad guys separated.  When everyone is in fatigues and carrying big guns, they all look alike to me.  It is also hard to catch a lot of the conversation because of the noise all around.  I think it is close captioned but I can’t figure out how to set it on my TV.

Never a dull moment in this house and tonight we had a small disaster.   As Christy was running water in the sink while preparing dinner, she felt water on her feet.  She looked under the sink and the drainpipe had completely disconnected from the sink.  I called the plumber but of course I got voice mail but he is good to call back so expect a call from him early tomorrow morning.  I am going to set my alarm for seven so that I can get up and call him again. This was definitely one time when the dishes were put into the dishwasher without rinsing.
