Scott Back In The USA

A few minutes ago I received a phone call from Scott.  He and the group are at LAX and will be there until midnight when their flight leaves and they will get to Dallas about five tomorrow morning.  That is going to be one tired group.  I asked if he was going to bed when he got home and he said no he would stay up and go to bed at the normal time.  A couple from the church in Fort Worth, who now live in Los Angeles, came to the airport and took the group out to the Redondo pier to see the ocean and to eat during their eight hour layover.   At least it gave them a break from planes and airports.

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow morning and since they will be doing blood tests, I cannot have any thing to eat or drink after midnight.  So if I want anything I better get it within the next twenty minutes.  I can understand no food but cannot see any reason for no water.  And of course when you cannot have something, then you want it in the worst way.  At least I can have enough water in the morning to take my blood pressure pill.

After reading Scott’s post about the group’s visit to the Killing Fields, I did some research online to learn exactly what the Killing Fields were.  Found out there was a movie titled The Killing Fields made in the eighties so I checked to see if any of the libraries had a copy.  I finally located it on VHS at the main branch of the Ouachita Parish Library.  Tomorrow after my doctor’s appointment, I am going to Monroe and pick up the movie.
