My Secondborn Is Twenty-Eight Today
Today, July 22, was Brian’s birthday and Christy prepared a delicious dinner. Brian loves chicken with fettuccine Alfredo, however, he prefers angel hair spaghetti so that is what she prepared. It is all pasta to me and I really do not see any difference in taste. Normally when Brian wants cake he wants chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Hard to believe but this time he asked for a yellow cake with chocolate icing. He also wanted it to be four layers but we only had three nine inch pans so he got a three layer one. I was kidding Christy and told her that she cut slice each layer in half and then she would have a six-layer cake. Funny thing is that when he saw the cake he said that he had been thinking that she could make two layers and then cut in half. Oh well, he liked it and had a rather large piece with ice cream. I had a big piece too but without the ice cream. I am thinking about having another piece of cake before I go to bed.

Since I posted a baby picture of Scott on his birthday I had to do the same for Brian. This one of Brian is one of my favorites. We were visiting my mother in Alabama and I will blame what he is eating and drinking on her. I am not sure of his age but I think he was about eighteen months old or maybe even a little younger. Like Scott he was very tall for his age.
I called Mignon today and she will be in Louisiana until the eighth of August so that gives me eight more days to work on her quilt so I decided to do something today that has been bugging me for ages. I finally scanned the rest of my books and now they are ready to be cropped and resized and then posted to my website. My plan was to crop and resize today but one hundred and eighty-three books took longer to scan than I had planned. I forgot to multiply how long I thought the job would take by three. Yesterday and today I managed to get about twenty more books posted. I WILL eventually get them all on the site, and then I can start on the hundreds of cookbooks. If I can keep up with posting about twenty a day then I should be finished in less than two weeks. But I doubt I can do that every day for it does get rather boring.
