Deadline Will Be Met

Woke up much later than I had intended to Monday morning but guess I needed the sleep. I know I could have set the alarm clock but I hate waking up to that loud buzz. My vision was somewhat blurry but I managed to get the appliqués completed with straight stitches.  Actually they were zigzag stitches but they were straight on the appliqué and where they should be. Today my vision is still a little blurry but I have learned to cope so will keep on quilting.  At noon today I had the front of the quilt completed.

Brian and Christy were stranded on the side of the highway Sunday afternoon and they could not get me on my cell phone for I had it on silent while at church and at the library.  They were on their way to her parents to have dinner with them to celebrate Father’s Day.  Needless to say they did not make it but Christy’s mom rescued them and brought them home.  They had just gotten home when I got home from church.  I really felt bad that I had not gotten their messages but it could not be helped.  I did go out and pick up dinner so think I have been forgiven.

Brian asked if I would take him to work while his car was being repaired and I told him no but he could drive my car.  He laughed and asked what I would do without a car since I had not spent an entire day at home in ages.  I told him that I had to be home all day everyday until Thursday.   I have been going to the library to check my website and to post on my blog but we can now use the Internet for short periods of time so I can do those two things at home.

Well I am going to make the deadline and have the quilt to Ashley tomorrow evening.  Tomorrow I just have to put on the binding and it will be ready to give.  I have just about decided while I have been making this quilt that I am not all that crazy about quilting anymore.  Think it is time to get into something different like silk ribbon embroidery, Swedish weaving, or needle punch.  But of course I still have many quilts to make that have been promised but as soon as all of those are finished then I am moving on.

When I tried to get online last night about nine or ten I could not get connected.  Going to try at six today and see what happens.  Brian found out why Dish Network did not send me an email when our usage had reached eighty percent.  For some unknown reason they had an incorrect email address for me.  Sometimes I wonder about that company.  Right now I am ticked off at them about one penny.  It is not the amount but the principle of the thing.  My bill was $133.70 so I paid that amount online.  I received an email from them thanking me for my payment of $133.70.  Later when I was on the website for some reason I saw the bill again and it said I owed $.01 and $133.69 had been paid.  Then the new bill came out and it is for $133.71.  I am going to give them a call on the third when I pay the bill.  As I said, it is not the penny but the idea that they cannot keep things straight.
