Quilt Making Is Going Great

I did not get as much done yesterday as I had planned because for some reason I was extremely tired in the afternoon and just did not have enough energy to sew.   I have had a night of ten hours sleep and I am raring to go today.  I sewed this morning right after getting up and the quilt is ready for quilting.  Since the tee shirt squares are appliquéd to the background that takes care of most of the quilting on the front of the quilt.  I do need to stitch in the ditch around the sashing and that will finish the front.  The back is three sections and will be quick and easy to quilt in squares.  I am hoping to finish all of that today and then tomorrow I can put it together and bind the edges.  Now that is my plan but more than likely something will come up and it will not get finished until Monday or Tuesday.

Had to make a run to the grocery store so I stopped at the library to check my website.  And of course I have to post to my blog.  It seems that no matter what happens during the day I will get something posted to my blog and will get at least a couple of chapters read in the latest book. Right now I am reading the first in a new series by Karen Kingsbury, which is somewhat of a continuation of an earlier series.  Love her books.

Think I will have lunch while I am out for we all know that one should not go to the grocery story hungry.  When Don was alive, Friday was always “my” day when I would leave home as soon as the kids left for school and I would go shop, eat, and just what ever struck my fancy and then I would be home before the kids got home from school.  And in those days I would have my Christmas shopping done before the end of October.  For some reason I still like to go out on Friday but I no longer shop except for groceries.  Got shopping out of my system years ago.  At this point in my life, shopping is BORING and I only go when it is absolutely necessary, which is mainly for groceries.  Now I must say that I do not mind going to a fabric store but as you know that is a completely different kind of shopping.
