Taking the two Benadryl last night put me right to sleep and I had a good night of rest and got up at a decent hour on a Saturday morning. No homemade waffles or Shoney’s breakfast bar today however.
I have finished the design for Ashley’s quilt. Well there is really not that much of a design, what I actually did was figure the size I wanted to make the quilt and then decided on the size blocks. I am going to use seven-inch blocks so that means I will need sixty-three blocks. I am pretty sure that I do not have that many different floral prints but some of the fabrics have so many different flowers that I can cut at least two and maybe three different blocks from the same piece of fabric. I am going to frame each floral block with black.
I have been sitting here thinking about what to do for the back and I think I will go with large blocks without frames. I have several floral prints that have rather small all over flowers so will use those for the back. I will pick out five or six that I really like and then use strip piecing to assemble the back. I always go for easy.
