Found Myself In A Comic Strip
I found a comic strip that could have been modeled after me. It gave me a great laugh.

Unfortunately that comic strip pretty much sums up my day. I had a bunch of books, tapes, and CDs to return to the Monroe library this afternoon and while I was there I checked out eight books on tape. When I started to play the first one on the way home I realized that it was part of a series. So, I had to stop at the Ruston library and see if they had more of the series. Turns out there are nine books in the series and Ruston had seven. I checked with Jackson Parish library to see if they had the other two and they did so I left Ruston and drove to Jonesboro to pick up the other two. So now I have nine books to read and eight to listen to. Sometimes I wish I did not love to read so much for then I could get other things done in a more timely fashion. I remember in eighth grade when we had a spelling test every Friday I would sit there with a library book reading. The teacher would call out the word, I would write it down, and then read until she called the next word. I could always get at least a paragraph read for there would be one or two kids who took forever to write down the word. I sat right next to the teacher’s desk and she never said anything to me for she knew that I knew how to spell and she also knew how much I loved to read. And with that long ago memory I am off to bed.
