Changes Are Going To Take Place
I am going to try one more time to change my lazy way of living. I am going to get up by eight each morning from now on and I am going to do something besides eat, sleep, and read. If I will just stick with it I should be able to get my studio organization completed in the next two or three days. Then I will have no excuse for not getting back to quilt making. Today I was thinking about all the quilts I want to make and I decided to eliminate several of them. I am going to give baby quilts just to the grandkids of very special friends and not include ones who are just friends. I consider all the grandmothers at church to be friends but not that close with all of them.
The other night I asked Christy what kind of quilt she would like me to make for their wedding and I almost fainted when she said that the pattern she really likes is Dresden Plate. Of course my first comment was, “Oh no, you are not serious are you?” She knows how I feel about that pattern and then she said she also liked the Holly Hobby figures. After talking more I learned that she was talking about Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Bill. I have patterns for a girl and boy named Petticoat Patti and Farmer Frank that I really like better than Sue and Bill. When I showed them to Christy she liked them too. I think what she really wants will end up being a sampler quilt which is fine with me for I get bored making the same block over and over.
