Don’t Like The Weather, Just Wait A Minute

At the beginning of this week the weather was in the high eighties and now at the end it is in the forties. And what makes it so miserable is that there is a constant, slow, cold rain. We need the rain so I am not complaining but I really do not like to run errands in the rain.   But I am not sugar so I will not melt.

I have been hearing about Twitter from the kids since Christmas and have read their “twitterings” but have had no desire to join the rest of the country in another new form of communication.  However, sitting here at the computer in the library I decided to join just for the heck of it and mainly to easily read the ones for sgottreu [Scott], bribles [Brian] and ChristyLuWho [Christy].  I sent a message but don’t think it has gone to anyone but me. I wonder what new program someone is going to come up with next. I told Brian that I was not sure that I wanted anyone in the world reading what I might write and he quickly told me that anyone could read my blog. I thought they had to have the URL but it seems anyone can get to it.  Oh well, I really do not write anything that I care if someone reads.

Here it is almost the middle of March and I have not done one stitch of sewing/quilting.  A couple of weeks ago the couple who are co-directors of Warehouse for the Nations which is a ministry of Advancing Native Missions were at my church to speak to us again.  I learned that the quilts I made last year were sent to the Middle East but there was a problem with paperwork for the container of goods, or some government problem,  so it has been in the Middle East for a year and now finally they have permission from the powers that be to open it and distribute everything to the native missionaries.  So finally my quilts will get to the kids for whom I made them.  I was hoping to make a few more quilts for them to send in a container that is being shipped in about a week but I was just not able to do that.  So, I am working on making them for the rest of this year and hopefully will have a huge box of them to ship to the warehouse at the beginning of 2010.
