A Lazy Day
Awoke about nine this morning when Scott came wandering into the kitchen and wanted to know if I was ready to get up and make waffles. Oh I do not sleep in the kitchen but my studio joins the kitchen and I sleep in there when Scott is home and give him my bed. Fortunately I was awake and thinking about getting up so I did and we had to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart to get more food items before I could make waffles. One would think that as many times as I went before Christmas that we would not need to grocery shop until 2009.
Since I would be making waffles for four people I wanted to get another waffle iron but the only one that Wal-Mart had was for making Belgian waffles and the boys do not care for those. So I made waffles on one iron for what seemed like hours. When I make the recipe, I always double so that we have waffles in the refrigerator that we can just pop in the toaster. Granted, fresh made ones are better but since I am the one who has to make them, I can be happy with toasted ones for a couple of mornings. By the time we finished breakfast and the kitchen was cleaned it was about twelve thirty and all I wanted to do was take a nap.
When Scott and I were at Wal-Mart we bought a cable to connect my MP3 player to the clock radio that Scott gave me for Christmas. I sat on my bed and got that all hooked up and working and then I fell over on the bed and stayed there until about five this afternoon. I slept most of the time and was still tired when I got up. I told the kids that if they wanted supper then they could raid the refrigerator for I was not cooking or taking leftovers from the refrigerator.
Scott and Brian decided to go to Monroe and I told them as they left that if they decided to eat out then to bring something home for Christy and me. About nine tonight Scott called and asked for our supper order. We decided to have something from Taco Bell, which was good, since it was nice to have something different than the regular Christmas fare.
