I Can Relax A Little
Talked with Mignon this morning after church and learned that she is leaving for Montana on Friday morning so I thought to myself that would give me four days to finish the quilt and take to her on Thursday night. Tonight I was talking with her again and learned that she will be flying out of Monroe at six thirty and since she has to be there an hour early and it is an hour drive from Quitman to the airport, she will be leaving home Friday morning about four thirty. Since she will be leaving so early Friday morning, I decided that Thursday night would not be a good time to give her the quilt so I will just wait and give it to here when she comes back in two weeks. The way everything has been taking much longer than I thought, I don’t think that I can have it finished by Wednesday night so I am not going to set a time limit to finish but just keep working and should get it finished this week. I asked Mignon tonight if she had plans for Tuesday night and she said no so I am cooking dinner and taking to her house. It is just going to be a salad, hot rolls, and dessert. Since neither Mignon nor I need the calories I might omit the hot rolls but we will definitely have dessert. After all one can only be so good when it comes to counting calories.
Today I was looking at the calendar and realized that thirty-years ago on June 21st I met Don and seventeen years ago on June 24th Don died. And then tonight the pastor’s sermon was on marriage. Have a feeling it is not going to be a great week for me.
