Purple Crepe Myrtle
I wonder what is up with the date. I wrote this on Wednesday night. When something is saved it is always Pacific time which is two hours behind my time but guess the posted time must be Central. Will have to do some experimenting.
Until Sunday night I had never seen purple crepe myrtle but there are three of them at the front of the church. Tonight I finally remembered to take my camera so that I could get a picture. They are beautiful but my favorite is still the hot pink ones. There are lots of white ones around the church but to me the white have always looked somewhat washed out. Guess that is a stupid statement since they are white.
The old saying about the best laid plans is so true. I had plans to have the back of the quilt finished by the time I went to bed tonight but still have about two hours of sewing left to do. My eyes are just too tired to attempt the decorative stitching on the sashing so will just stop the sewing and put the appliqués on the Wonder Under. That can be done even with tired eyes but I definitely will not be cutting them out tonight. I just looked at the clock and it is one in the morning so I am just going to bed and will forget the appliqués and the quilt for tonight.
