In the summer we only have Bible study once a month and today was our June meeting and it was very informative and enjoyable. After the study we had a potluck lunch which was delicious. I think this was the first time I have ever been to a potluck meal where there was no dessert. I had asked Mignon last night if I could go as her mom since I did not have time to make a dish for the meal. I could not tell her that I was sewing on a quilt for her and that was the reason I had no time.
At five this evening, Mignon, Cyndi, Millie and I met at the Chinese buffet for a girl’s night out. Mignon had forgotten that she had to take Bryce for his swimming lesson at six so we had a handsome young man with us. He was so well behaved it is hard to believe that he is only three. The five of us had a great time and a very good meal. Mignon finally decided that it will be next week before she leaves so that gives me at least two or three more days to work on the quilt. However I think that I will be finished by Saturday night but things always come up so it might be a week from tomorrow. I will get it finished before she leaves. I just had a thought. Mignon will be coming back when the movers come to pack for the move and I could give it to her then. Not really a good idea for I want it finished so that I can get to work on other projects. The first project is to make as many quilts as I can by the end of August to send to the native missionaries.
