Tonight was commencement for Vacation Bible School and it was a great program. The three and four year olds were just adorable, in fact all the kids were great. And if I do say so myself, my photographs from the week were also very nice. Several people complimented me on them which made me feel good. After the program was over everyone moved to the family life center for a wonderful spread of food, food, and more food. Fortunately for the ladies in charge of food for VBS, the food for tonight was catered. Everything was delicious and as usual I ate more than I should have but I did only have ONE dessert. I said to a friend at our table that one thing we Baptists know how to do well is get together and eat.
Because of the decorations at the front of the sanctuary, we did not have a choir this morning but the pulpit and communion table were in place and were then moved back out for tonight. Good thing we have some strong young men in the church.
This morning before Sunday School started I asked one of my friends if she had an ink jet color printer and she said she did. I then asked her if she had ever printed on fabric and she again said yes. So I asked her if she would print a picture for me. This was the picture of the three girls that Ashley could not get to print. I sent the graphic to her email and then after lunch I took the fabric sheets to Mary. She was to bring them to me at church tonight but with the crowd of people there I could not find her. When I was ready to leave church I called her and asked if I could come pick up the print. She had forgotten to bring to church so did not matter that I could not find her. The picture turned out great!!! I am one HAPPY lady tonight for the two prints were ones that I especially wanted for the quilt. They were just too complicated for me to appliqué in the short time that I have.
