Fun Friday
Tonight was work night for Vacation Bible School and it started off with dinner in the Family Life Center. After everyone had eaten their fill, all the ladies started working on the decorations for their rooms. I was there as the “official” photographer. This is the third year that I have taken pictures for VBS. Last year I did not get to attend the work night for it was only four days after my gall bladder surgery. As soon as I had gotten pictures of all the ladies I packed up my camera and tripod and came home. When VBS is held in June I will be there during the week taking pictures. On Sunday night at the end of VBS when all the parents and grandparents are coming in for the program that the kids will give, the photos will be on the screens at the front of the church for all to see what went on during the week. I take the photographs and someone else put them into a power point presentation.
Today I ironed more tops and backs and then I completed two quilts ready for the binding. I have a week and a half left to get all the quilts made. No one has told me that I have to make a certain number but I told myself that I would like to have at least twenty-five quilts to send to Advancing Native Missions. If I can finish two a day I will make it. Would be nice to have even more. I would really like to use all the juvenile fabric that I have and then the next group will be larger quilts for twin beds. Of course I am keeping the few pieces that have been designated for baby quilts for the grandkids of friends.
