Today Was Better Than Yesterday
Called the water guy this morning and yes he confirmed that I had a water leak. He then suggested a couple of plumbers and I called both and neither was home. Found out that one just lives about half a mile down the road from me. I stopped by there this evening and his wife told me that he no longer works for himself. So that leaves one guy that has done work for me before but not sure I want to hire him again but I may have no choice. On the way home from the pharmacy this afternoon I stopped by the next door neighbor’s house and asked Chris is he would do me a big favor which was to turn off the water at the meter. He came right over and after I saw what he did I can do it now. I had looked earlier but I only removed the small cover and Chris removed the entire cover. No wonder I could not see the handle to turn it off. Right now I do no have the money for a plumber so guess I will just turn the water on when I get up and then turn it off in the late afternoon. It will be a pain to not have water but if I leave it on then the leak will cause a water bill that I will not be able to pay. I am still upset about the leak but since I decided what I will do for a few days, I feel better.
Bible study this morning was our last lesson in the book we were studying and after the meeting was over we had a delicious meal prepared by the two hostesses.. We have never had a study in the summer but we decided to meet once a month during summer and have a meal at that time too. We will do a study using a Beth Moore DVD and all we will have to bring to class is a pen and our Bible. We will watch the video and then we will have a worksheet for study. Will be nice to get together during the summer for it is a great bunch of ladies and we have all gotten close.
This afternoon after I finished running all my errands I gave Mignon a call and asked if she wanted to go have pizza. We changed our minds and went for Chinese and her daughter and grandson went with us. I really enjoyed the meal and the company and then Mignon insisted on paying for my meal.
This morning I woke up at eight and actually got out of bed and stayed up for the day. I think the secret is to go to bed around ten and no later than eleven and then I wake up early. Unfortunately today I did not get any sewing done. I finally told myself that I do not have to make all my fabric up into quilts this month. I do have other things that have to be done so if I can do one a day that should be a good pace to set. Will just have to see how it goes. Tonight I have five in different stages of completion. Maybe those will be finished by the weekend.
