Not A Good Day

It was another beautiful sunny day with a little nip in the air but it turned gray for me in the early afternoon.  The guy came to mow my lawn and then he came to tell me that there was a puddle of water a few feet from my water meter.  So I finally tracked down the guy who is in charge of our water system and he told me that he would get someone out to check it.  No one came today so this evening I called to see if he had contacted anyone.  Of course he was not home and so far has not returned my call.  What really ruined my day was when he told me if there is a break and it is on my side of the meter then I have to pay for the repair.  That is just great since I have about thirty dollars in the bank.  Hope my “stimulus payment” from my Uncle Sam gets here soon.

And to make the gray day even worse, I did not get any quilts made today for since yesterday have not been seeing that clearly.  I did get several pressed, cut, and pinned ready to sew and will complete them tomorrow afternoon when I get home from Bible study and our luncheon.  Last night in church my eye started itching and though it would drive me crazy until I could get home and put drops in it.  The eye doctor told me a couple years ago that with glaucoma, one will have days when the vision is slightly blurred.  My vision seems to have cleared up so I am going to put in more drops and go to bed at a decent hour.
