More Blessings
Today when I got out of bed about forty minutes after ten, I remembered that it was my day for Curves so I quickly ate so that there would be at least an hour for the food to settle before I start exercising. Curves closes from one to three so I like to go at noon. When I miss a couple of days I can tell because my shoulder and knee muscles let me know loud and clear.
Last night I checked on the eAudiobooks at Ouachita Parish Library and found that they have over 2300 books to be downloaded. Over three hundred of them are Christian fiction so will be starting with those. With the MP3 player I can listen while I sew or do anything else except type. I can multi-task but I can’t really listen to a book and type at the same time. Oh I can but I miss a lot of the book. I was using the player today and realized that I needed a way to make it hands free so a few minutes ago I got out two small pieces of felt and a length of ribbon and made a pouch in about five minutes. I would not dare let anyone see it but am going to make one to use in public that is probably crazy quilted. Well since I need it now I will probably just do a little machine embroidery on a piece of cotton and go from there. Maybe one day I will do an embellished CQ one.
Tonight after church, three more of the ladies from the Bible study group gave me money to buy more batting for the quilts. I am working in a more or less assembly line fashion—ironing fabric, cutting fabric, sewing, pressing seams, cutting again, sewing again, pressing again and voila, five or six quilt tops are pieced and ready for the batting, backing, and quilting. Thank heavens for rotary cutters and strip piecing.
