Middle Of The Week
Here it is the middle of the week and I have listed only nine books on my website. Yesterday I did get pictures made of the dogwood trees just south of Ruston. They are not as pretty this year for they are not all bloomed out completely. We have had some cool days in among the warm ones and I think that has kept them from blooming out as fully as they normally do. Usually everyone of the trees is solid white and the group together is absolutely breathtaking, at least in my opinion. I had great pictures that Brian and I took about three years ago but somehow they have disappeared from the computer. Those rascal gremlins are at work again.
Last night I was so tired but do not know why since I did almost nothing the entire day except visit the library for a couple of hours and shoot a few pictures.. Because I was so tired, or maybe it was lazy, I was in bed shortly after twilight turned to night. Listened to a book on tape for probably a couple of hours before I fell asleep. This morning when I woke up I spent another hour listening to the book. I am on the sixth book in the Left Behind series. I have listened to the complete series but this second time around I am hearing things that I missed before. The first time I had to wait for each tape to be produced which took a few years, but this time I have them all checked out and waiting on the book shelf. Listening when I go to bed, before I get up, and anytime I am in the car, it only takes a couple of days to finish a book.
There are individual dogwood trees all around where I live but I have to drive about ten miles north to see this group. I think there are maybe ten trees in this group but could not get them all without getting rundown barns and old cars.. Usually there is a small herd of white goats grazing under the trees.
