Today was Scott’s thirtieth birthday. I cannot believe that he is that old. It seems that just a couple of years ago he was a teenager. He has become a fine young man and I am so very proud of him and what he is doing with his life. Scott had some interesting things to say about his thirty years on his blog.
Scott left this morning at four thirty and was at work in Fort Worth by nine thirty. He woke me when he was ready to leave and I got up, gave him a hug, told him I loved him, sent him on his way, and then went back to bed. I was certainly glad that I did not have to start a five hour drive that early in the morning. His co-workers were taking him out to lunch today and tonight his friends at church were taking him out to dinner. He has definitely had enough birthday meals for one birthday.
After having Scott home for three days and four nights and Brian also being here a good bit of the time, it was rather lonely around here today so I took advantage of errands I needed to run. This morning as Scott was leaving he pointed to the sticker on my car windshield and told me that I needed to get my car inspected. I could not believe that I had completely forgotten about renewing the inspection sticker which should have been done in December. Good thing that I was not stopped by a policeman for any reason. When I was finished with the car inspection I stopped at Curves for my exercises. For some reason, today the time seemed to go fastest than usual. That was fine with me for I find exercising rather boring but I know that it is good for me and that is why I continue to go.
Spent the afternoon in the library and decided to stay for the Monday night movie. Most of the movies are kiddie movies but I seem to enjoy them more than adult ones these days. At least they are free of profanity. The movie tonight was The Enchanted but I kept thinking how silly it was. Never really cared for fairy tales as a kid so maybe that is the reason I did not especially care for the movie tonight.
