Today was a beautiful, sunny Easter day. After church this morning Scott and I planned to have lunch at Cane’s but they were closed so we ended up at Applebee’s. He finally had his steak and I had grilled chicken. I am not a great lover of steak.
Tonight Scott provided the special music at church. He sang two songs and accompanied himself on the acoustic guitar. Needless to say I was very proud of my firstborn son. He did a wonderful job and many people came up to him and thanked him for the message in song and also told him that he did a great job. Several of the ladies came up to me and told me about the same thing and also said they knew how proud I am of him.
Shortly after we got home from church Brian called and asked what there was to eat. I told him to stop by Sonic and he did so we all had a supper that I did not have to prepare. Unfortunately he did not make it back in time to hear Scott sing.
Scott is planning to leave at five tomorrow morning so he has already gone to bed and I am going now for want to get up and see him off. He does not want breakfast and I must admit that I am glad of that. He will stop along the way and get something I am sure.
