Books

I just cropped, resized, and saved fourteen pictures of books for my website in six minutes. Now if I could only do the descriptions that quickly I would be one happy lady but it takes me that long or longer to get one book listed. Part of the problem, actually a big part of the problem, is the slowness of the Internet. I am on satellite that is supposed to be super fast but for me it is quite slow; however, it beats dialup. Brian was telling me that Wild Blue has gotten so many satellite customers that the speed has slowed down for everyone. Wish they would put up a larger satellite.

This afternoon at the library when I had to give the lady my card, I said to her that I had thought about putting a hole in the card and putting it on my key chain. She said to me that she could cut it for me and punch a hole. I handed it to her and she took the scissors and cut off everything but the bar code, cut the ends round, and then punched a small hole in what was left of the card. Then I asked her if she could do that to my other library card that is for the libraries in the two adjoining parishes. She told me that I would have to ask them. I will be sure to ask the next time I am at the Ruston library. So much easier to just hand them my key chain that to open my purse, get out my wallet, open the wallet, and then hand them the card. When they are finished with the card, then I have to do all those motions in reverse. I always go for easy.
