Nice Surprise
This morning about ten I was lying in bed thinking about getting up and the phone rang. It was Joyce wanting to know if I would like to have a visitor tomorrow and for two or three days. Of course I told her to come on down. She went to Chrissie’s in Wichita today and then tomorrow morning she is heading south to Dallas and will meet up with Scott somewhere in that area. Depending on when she gets started tomorrow morning and how much time she spends with Scott, she will either be here tomorrow evening or will stay the night in Dallas and then come on over here Sunday. I am really looking forward to her being here. It has been nearly three years since she was down. She and Linda came down and we went to New Orleans two months before Katrina hit in August 2005.
Went grocery shopping today at the Jonesboro Wal-Mart and after I got home and put the food away, I took off for the Ruston Wal-Mart for I needed a new shower curtain liner and a mat for the bottom of the tub and they did not have what I wanted in Jonesboro. Because of all the walking in Wal-Mart, my knees and left foot are giving me fits tonight. In fact I have a hard time walking because of the foot. I am just waiting for eleven so that I can take two more Percogesic pills and then I am off to bed. I need to be up early tomorrow for have a little more cleaning to do and I want to make a bit pot of gumbo, bake a cake, and make a loaf of cranberry/apple bread.
