Was up and out the door and on my way to the Toyota dealership in Shreveport by eight thirty this morning. I had called on Friday and the guy told me to get there as early as possible. When I arrived I was the fifth car in line so I just got out and took the key inside. After talking with the guy about my problems, I went to the waiting room and there were at least twelve people sitting around waiting. I had a sinking feeling that I would be there until closing time. After a few minutes I decided that I would walk across a parking lot to the Burger King and have breakfast/lunch. I went out to the desk and asked the guy how long before they would get to my car for I wanted to go to BK and eat. He told me that it was no longer there. He also told me that there was just one car ahead of me. They have different guys for different jobs. So I went back inside and waited for him to come tell me what the cost was going to be. I had thought the car needed a tune-up but the problem was the timing belt and the other belts also needed replacing. The motor mount also needs to be replaced but he said that could wait two or three months. I was glad to hear that for the total cost was going to be more than I really could pay right now. Four hours after I arrived I was ready to come home after leaving them with a dollar and a few cents over three hundred dollars. That hurt to spend all that money but since I live in a rural area, there is no public transportation so I have to have my car. Oh, he also told me a lot of the noise is just because the poor little old Corolla has almost 242,000 miles on it. Was running much better on the way home.
On the way home I passed right by a Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop and I just had to stop for I absolutely love their doughnuts. When I got inside the shop I asked the price of a half dozen for who could buy just one or two? Much to my surprise, a dozen only cost fifty cents more than half a dozen. Naturally I bought an entire dozen. I will need to go to Curves six times a week instead of three to get rid of all those calories. But oh they are so good, and this is the first time I have bought any in over a year. Fortunately the shop is a two hundred mile round trip from home so I never drive over there just for doughnuts. In fact the last time I was in Shreveport I did not even go near the shop.
When I finally left Toyota it was two thirty and I was very hungry. I had a dozen doughnuts in the car but I needed food that was not sweet. There was a Chick-Fil-A nearby so I stopped in for a very late lunch. As I was eating I was wondering to myself if I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby and see if there was anything that I could not live without. I could not remember the address for the store so just decided that I really did not want to go anyway. I was just not in the mood to shop and really no money either. I drove out of the parking lot and turned onto the highway home or at least that is what I thought I did. I drove for a few blocks and realized that I had turned onto the wrong street and as I looked to the left, there was Hobby Lobby. I drove into their parking lot since I was there but then I drove right back out for I just did not want to go in. Got back to the correct street and did not stop again until I got home. Well I did detour to a quilting shop in Minden but she was closed so just turned around in the parking lot and kept driving toward home. That is about the third time I have stopped at the quilt shop on a Monday forgetting that she is not open on Mondays.
I am not going to say how many doughnuts I have eaten tonight but will say that they were my supper. Bible study is tomorrow morning so have to get up at eight again so I am off to bed early. Going to try to continue to get up every morning at eight. When I sleep until noon it makes for a short day but I make up for it by staying up most of the night.

What a fun story. And not a bad way to spend a monday. The donut part makes me hungry!
