This morning I went to the post office and after getting out of the car, I slammed the door but did not realize that the tip of my middle finger on my right hand was in the door. That hurt!!! Now I just have a purplish red spot on my fingernail and the finger does not hurt but feels a little weird when I press on it. Then tonight as I was leaving the studio I reached to turn off the light and cut the end of my ring finger on the same hand. I have a dimmer switch and the knob had fallen off and I cut my finger on the metal part that was left. I had forgotten to put the knob back on when it fell this morning. At least I kept the injuries to one hand.
Was sitting at the computer about six thirty and decided that I would call my second born and ask if he would like to join me at Taco Bell for supper. I called and of course he was up for a free meal. I hurt the second finger when I was leaving to go meet Brian. Had a nice visit with my “baby” and when we came out to go home there was sleet on the cars. Not enough to worry about and think it was pretty much melting as it hit. There was either sleet or a very light rain falling on me all the way home. Was great to get inside where it is warm. I hate cold, rainy weather. Come next summer and I will be complaining about the heat and humidity.
I was checking out the post office web tools on my web site this afternoon and it was doing crazy things. I would “buy” a one-pound book and it would show at checkout as 1 x 5.0 lbs. After waiting over thirty minutes for someone at the post office customer service to talk with me about the problem, I just hung up. Scott was on Yahoo Messenger so I sent him a message and told him what was happening. He did something on the site and the problem was solved. It was not a post office problem after all but something in Zen Cart that needed to be changed. It is so nice to have two sons who are also computer gurus. :O) Now, I need to get busy and get all the books that I want to sell listed on the site. Also have other things such as vintage laces, fabrics, magazines, weaving yarns, and embroidery fabrics that I also want to sell. I just hope and pray that I can sell everything for could definitely use the money and it will clear lots of “stuff” out of my house. Every time Scott is home he is after me to get rid of what he calls junk. I then tell him that when I am no longer around he can sell all my fabrics on Ebay and make a fortune. He usually gives me the “look.”
Today I mailed the first book that was purchased from my online store and it is not even officially open yet. I asked the lady how she learned of my store but she did not answer. For now there are only 136 books listed, but if you are interested in checking out the site then click here.
Ouch, ouch, ouch. Hope your fingers are recovering. You are lucky to have two sons who are so willing and able to help.
Hope your fingers heal quickly. I hope they don’t affect your needlework. Get well soon
