Kept My Old Sewing Machine

Went to Bible study this morning and when it was over I came back home and called to make sure the repair guy was at the fabric shop. I went up to have him show me how to use the embroidery machine. It did a beautiful floral design but I could not get it out of my mind that the sewing machine was from five to eleven years old. Mine is a little older but I know how it has been used. As I mentioned to the guy the machine was working perfectly now but could stop working tomorrow. Besides it only cost fifteen dollars to have the foot control repaired so I pay the fabric shop one hundred twelve dollars and a few cents and came home with my own machine. I am sure that I can find a good use for the three hundred dollars that I did not spend. I was also thinking that I have had my machine for about fifteen years and I still have not done everything with it that can be done. So going to see what new things I can come up with this year. Another reason I decided not to get the newer machine is that it came with only one embroidery card. Since the machine is not made anymore they have also stopped making the cards for the embroidery part. The shop had some cards but they were sixty-five dollars each and that was half price. Just like a computer, one has to keep buying software and that can really add up.

Oh yes, he showed me the newest Pfaff sewing machine/embroidery machine combination, which sells for only $8500.00. Nearly fell off the chair when he told me the price. I find it interesting that most electronic items go down in price every year but sewing machines keep going up.

For some reason I am very sleepy tonight. Been out running around all day and that always makes me tired. So tonight I am going to be in bed by ten thirty.
