More Christmas Lights
This is the seventh of January and so far I have kept one of my new year’s resolutions, at least started keeping it. I went back to Curves today and I am getting serious about the exercise and losing weight. Sad to say I gained a couple of pounds from Thanksgiving to New Years; however, I am surprised that I did not gain more. I have found too that my knees have been hurting a lot more since i have not been exercising. That is enough to make me get serious again about exercise, but I still do not think it is fun.The pictures of lights in this post are in the little town of Hodge which is between Quitman and Jonesboro.
The paper mill in Hodge decorates each year and this Nativity is always up each year.. I wish they would redo the white background so that one could see the heads of the three figures on the right. They can be seen in person but do not show up in the photo. The photo does not do it justice for it is outstanding in person.
I am not sure what this building houses but it is also at the paper mill and is beautiful from all four sides.
I have a thing for trees with lights. I do not know what kind of three this is but it has the icicle type lights on the branches and is just gorgeous after dark. This and the next two pictures are decorations that are beside the highway in Hodge just below the paper mill.
There are stars, flag, and wrapped tree trunk on the left side of the sign. I would have had to cross the road and probably even a train track to get far enough away to get everything in the picture.

The credit union is decorated on all sides but this side seemed the prettiest to me.
The trees are in the front of my bank. I know I had a picture of the bank with all its lights but somehow I misplaced it.
Every Christmas season as one drives south on highway 167 there are seven trees decorated with lights that appear to just be out in the woods. However, there is a driveway between the two groups of trees that goes back into the woods to two beautiful homes.
I am very disappointed that the trees do not show up as I wanted. Next year I am going to make pictures as soon as twilight falls. I did take these before it was completely dark and they are better than the ones made when it was totally dark.
I do not know why I am so sleepy and tired tonight and since I need to be up tomorrow morning by eight thirty to be on time for Bible study at church, I am going to bed at ten which I have not done in months. Still more pictures of Christmas lights tomorrow night.
