When I finally got out of bed about noon, Scott had been up for a while and was ready for lunch. I think it is funny that he does his own cooking but when he comes home it is as if he did not know the uses for the kitchen. He did make a big pot of chili; but the next day he cannot get out a bowl, fill it with chili, and put in the microwave. Oh he definitely can but I spoil him and do it for him. Isn’t that what moms are supposed to do?
Since my sewing machine is out of commission I have been getting a lot of rest. Not necessarily sleep but during the day I can do what ever strikes my fancy instead of pushing to get quilts made. Maybe tomorrow I will take the machine to the fabric shop. Having to pay seventy-five dollars really hurts but I need my sewing machine to be in working order. Besides the three gift quilts that need to be made, a friend wants me to make two tee-shirt quilts, one for her son and one for her daughter. Those will bring in some money, which is always nice. I am not crazy about making quilts for sale but I will do it for really good friends.
Scott and Brian went to a movie this afternoon but I decided I would rather go to the library. Had not been in a week and was having withdrawal symptoms. The display of Christmas novels was still out so I checked out sixteen of them. That should keep me reading for the next week. Better get all the reading done that I can until my sewing machine is repaired for then it will be sew, sew, sew.
After the library I made a quick trip to the grocery store and then I decided to stop at Taco Bell for supper for I knew that Scott and Brian would be eating out and too I was tired of leftovers. On the way home I decided to just go on to Jonesboro and photograph the Christmas lights. About three hours later I was again on the way home. Left home this afternoon at three and finally arrived back home a few minutes after nine. I was going to post some of the pictures of the Christmas lights but cropping and resizing took too long and now too tired to post so will do them tomorrow. Have so many that I will probably post them over several nights.
