Christmas Eve
The alarm went off at nine this morning and I hopped right out of bed and called the post office to see if my package had arrived from Amazon. The answer was yes so I quickly dressed and took off for the post office. Actually there were three packages. I had asked for all to come in one package but for some reason two items were mailed separately. Left the post office to make a quick run to the pharmacy to pick up my blood pressure and cholesterol medicine refills. Then it was home to wrap the late arriving packages. I had been asking Scott for two days if he wanted me to wrap his packages and of course he said no. BUT, this morning he comes strolling into my studio and asked if I would wrap his packages. Being the pushover I am when it comes to my two sons, I wrapped the packages.
Brian and Christy had said to come over between ten thirty and twelve. Needless to say with all that had to be done before we left; it was ten minutes after twelve before we left here. But as Scott said, they are usually late getting to my home for a meal or whatever.
We all enjoyed a lunch of party foods and then about seven we had a sit down dinner with turkey and other good foods. I will do no cooking tomorrow for we have lots of leftovers.
After dinner we opened our presents and everyone was delighted with what they received. The three ‘kids’ wanted to play a game and I was tired so while they played I took a nap on the sofa. While I was lying there I was thinking that I wished I were home. I am getting to be a real homebody or maybe that is a stick in the mud. :O)
Almost time for Santa to make his yearly trip so guess I should get in bed like a good little girl. All I want him to bring me is a good night of sleep with no alarm to wake me on Christmas morning.
