Sunday After Thanksgiving
Sunday is the first day of the week but for some reason I always think of it as the last day of the weekend. The rain that started yesterday continued all night and then all day today. When I went to church this morning I had to fight with my umbrella to keep from getting wet. Tonight when I went it was not raining but when I came out of church it was windy as could be and the wind was cold. I do not like winter weather. I would love to live somewhere that the temperature was around seventy degrees all year long. I would probably miss the changing seasons but we don’t have that much change here in Louisiana. Mostly we just have hot and humid.
After Scott left yesterday I decided to start watching my Christmas movies. I watched White Christmas and about half of Christmas in Connecticut and then finished watching it this afternoon. When that movie was finished then it was Santa and Pete. When I got home from church tonight I watched It’s a Wonderful Life. I will have to watch at least one a day to see them all before Christmas. Many of them are the animated movies I used to watch with Scott and Brian when they were little kids. Probably my favorite is A Garfield Christmas. Guess I am still a kid for I watch them every Christmas. I have been watching A Charlie Brown Christmas since the first year it was out which has been at least forty years ago.
Last night I did not get to bed at nine as I had planned but was snug under the covers by ten. Slept until nine this morning so I felt great today. It is now eleven so I am going to bed and try to get up by eight tomorrow. Must get busy sewing those Christmas gifts.
