A Rainy Saturday And A Good Time For A Nap

Scott left to drive home shortly after noon because it was raining and gloomy and he wanted to get home before the weather got any worse. I was sad to see him leave but knew he needed to get back home. I left for Ruston shortly after Scott left for I had to return some books to the library and pick up one they were holding for me. Usually when I go to the library I stay for a while but today I just dropped my books in the return slot, picked up my book, and went back to my car.  It was so rainy and cold that I just wanted to get home and get warm.

I had planned to take Scott out for lunch but we had a late breakfast so he was not hungry. I prepared pancakes and bacon, which is about the only breakfast I cook when he is home. I much prefer waffles but cater to him for he is home so infrequently. I only ate two small pancakes but more bacon than I should have and I was hungry by the time I got to Ruston, so after leaving the library I stopped by Sonic  and had lunch. Just laughed at myself for I stopped for lunch but had a breakfast burrito.

Driving home I was extremely sleepy and was debating going to bed when I got home and staying until tomorrow morning. When I pulled into the carport I turned off the car and leaned my head back on the headrest. The next thing I knew I was waking up and for a minute I did not know where I was. I do not know how long I was asleep. I felt rather silly so I came inside and started working on the book descriptions for my web site.

I hate to say it but we did not get the web site ready to present to the buying public. Scott could probably finish up the changes that need to be made but he has finals and research papers coming up so I told him to just forget about it and we would finish up over Christmas. I have been thinking about it not being ready and realized that I really do not have the time right now to get it going either.

Scott just called to let me know that he got home all right. Bless his heart he had rain nearly all the way from Quitman to Fort Worth.

I have a blanket in the dryer and as soon as it is dry I am going to put it on my bed and crawl under it for a long night of sleep. I told Scott that I need to go to bed early for I fell asleep Thanksgiving afternoon, fell asleep yesterday at Brian’s, and then fell asleep in my car today. I think my body is trying to tell me that it NEEDS more sleep. I am going to listen and will be in bed shortly after nine. The past four or five nights, it has been three in the morning before I went to bed and then had trouble going to sleep and when I did get to sleep I only slept two or three hours before it was time to get up. No wonder I am sleepy.
